Overview

Shermco Industries is looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist that will help maintain company documentation, assist in formatting and drafting policies and procedures, and support process improvement initiatives across the organization.

This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to gain experience in quality management, process improvement, and document control. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Document Control & Compliance
    • Assist in maintaining and organizing company documents, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
    • Support document formatting, version control, and approval processes.
    • Help ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Process Development & Improvement
    • Assist in identifying inefficiencies in workflows and recommend improvements.
    • Work with teams to document and standardize best practices.
    • Support continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing service quality and efficiency.
  • Technical Writing & Documentation
    • Help draft, edit, and format policies, procedures, and work instructions.
    • Work with subject matter experts to ensure documents are clear and accurate.
    • Assist in creating training materials to help employees follow standardized processes.
  • Support Continuous Improvement Initiatives
    • Collect and organize data to support process improvement efforts.
    • Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and efficiency.
    • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the company.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or relevant coursework/experience).
  • 0-2 years of experience in quality, document control, or process improvement (internship or project experience is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn and work with document control systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in learning about ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, and quality management systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Experience with SharePoint or document management systems.
  • Exposure to process improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Technical writing experience or coursework.

Pay Range

USD $20.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.
