Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead and support a team of power systems engineers. This position is responsible for project oversight, technical quality, staff development, and ensuring the delivery of complex engineering solutions across industrial and utility clients.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of electrical engineers, providing technical direction and career development support.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical engineering projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
  • Conduct electrical power systems studies including:
    - Short-circuit
      - Protective device coordination
      - Arc-flash hazard analysis
      - Grounding
      - Harmonic analysis
  • Perform or oversee:
    - Power systems analysis and design for utility and industrial applications
      - Protective relaying system design and integration (SEL, GE, Siemens, Schneider)
      - Substation automation (RTAC, RTU, HMI, and related communication protocols)
      - Electrical drawing packages (SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, three-lines)
      - Distribution system upgrades (MCCs, switchgear, relays, fuses, breakers, transformers)
  • Provide QA/QC on engineering deliverables and proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, field technicians, and clients.
  • Support business development efforts by preparing technical proposals, estimates, and client presentations.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in power systems engineering
  • 2+ years of team leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficiency in power system modeling software (e.g., SKM, ETAP, EasyPower)
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Willingness to travel periodically to job sites (domestic)

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Must be able to pass a fit-for-duty physical exam
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform fieldwork when required
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Occasional overtime and travel as project demands require

Pay Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
