The Position

The Opportunity
Join our team of leaders in controls, system integration, electrical construction, and engineering! Due to continued growth, we are seeking safety-focused and experienced teammates with industrial field experience and strong knowledge of industrial control systems. We offer the opportunity to develop and utilize a broad skill set at an accelerated pace. Shermco is an industry-leading turnkey systems integration firm and is an ideal fit for smart, motivated individuals that want to continuously learn, develop, and solve complex problems. Perform instrumentation and control system services, including loop checks, commissioning, and startup
Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments, tubing, and control systems
Troubleshoot PLC hardware, power wiring, transmitters, switches, solenoids, I/Ps, and control valves
Mentor and coach apprentices to support safe, efficient task execution
Ensure material selection and installations comply with standards and client requirements
Maintain detailed documentation for maintenance, quality, and testing activities
Work in industrial environments, often around energized power/control equipment
Participate in safety initiatives including Positive Safety Reporting and client inspections
Support electrical construction and maintenance activities as required
Adhere to Shermco’s Health, Safety, Personnel, and Drug & Alcohol policies
Perform other related duties that you are assigned and trained to do
Industrial experience is an asset
Industrial safety training/certifications considered an asset
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects as required
