Position Summary

The Sourcing Manager plays a key role in driving strategic procurement initiatives across the organization. Reporting to the Sourcing Director, this role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, supply continuity / risk management, and innovation. The Sourcing Manager partners cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and suppliers to optimize value, mitigate risk, assure supply & quality, and ensure alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for major spend categories, including requirements’ definition, market analysis, supplier identification & evaluation, contract negotiation, and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain category strategies that balance cost efficiency, supply assurance / risk management, quality and service.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with internal business units to understand needs, identify opportunities, and drive procurement best practices.
  • Analyze market trends and supply chain risks to drive informed sourcing decisions and long-term planning.
  • Negotiate complex contracts and commercial agreements, coordinating with relevant functions, to protect company interests / mitigate supply risks, while fostering strong supplier partnerships.
  • Support the Sourcing Director and the VP of Procurement in developing departmental strategies, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Mentor and support junior sourcing professionals in process excellence, tools and supplier management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing processes and systems.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field (MBA or professional certification such as CPSM, CIPS preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and/or category management.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings / value and managing supply risk through strategic sourcing.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience with, or relevant education / training, in technical categories of spend (preferably with electrical apparatus, components, systems and services).
  • Experience with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Pay Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
