SUMMARY: Supervise, coordinate, and prioritize the repair of electromechanical equipment.

 

 

Responsibilities

POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure employees regularly participate in and with company safety programs and policies.
  • Manage budgets and inventory control.
  • Work with Project Managers to load all jobs into Scheduling Software and manage resources (people and tooling).
  • Lead production meetings, safety meetings, employee meetings, and other related meetings.
  • Drive shop workflow optimization, level loading, and understanding the flow and the management of emergent work priorities.
  • Carry out all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Review staff requirements and participate in recruiting activities, training, and scheduling of personnel.
  • Ensure all administrative requirements are completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide staff performance reviews and resolve employee problems.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is emphasized at all levels.
  • Mentor and assist employees.
  • Maintain frequent contact with employees to ensure engagement & to support retention.
  • Build a team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforcing safety program(s)
  • Lead safety meetings while cultivating a safety-first culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement
  • Maintain full compliance with all company policies and industry safety regulations

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervising employees and assist in employee development
  • Conduct annual performance reviews
  • Promote mentoring & employee retention
  • Run various meetings(department financial reviews, safety meetings, production meetings)
  • Address employee performance issues and document disciplinary actions as needed

Operations & Workflow Management

  • Scheduling of jobs to meet customer needs and company expectations
  • Managing resources (labor + tools)
  • Optimize workflow and productivity
  • Ensure proper scheduling and handling of urgent/emergency work

Business & Administrative Skills

  • Budget management (labor + tools)
  • Inventory control
  • Department revenue forecast
  • Perform additional duties as needed to consistently deliver exceptional service and ensure a superior customer experience that drives long-term loyalty.

 

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing, motor shop, field service, or industrial environment

  • Proven experience managing teams, scheduling work, and allocating resources (labor and tooling)

  • Demonstrated ability to lead employee performance management, including coaching, reviews, and disciplinary actions

  • Strong working knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations (OSHA or equivalent) with a track record of enforcing safety programs

  • Experience managing budgets, labor planning, and inventory control

  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple workflows, including emergent or high-priority work

  • Experience leading team meetings (production, safety, and operational reviews)

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to meet deadlines and ensure completion of required documentation

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and leadership levels

  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance operational efficiency and service delivery
