The E/I Commissioning Supervisor (here after referring to as the E/I CS) under the direction of the Project Manager is primarily responsible for directing the safe and efficient execution of the work conducted by the Shermco E&I Commissioning team at the BHP Jansen project. The E/I CS in collaboration with the Project Manager and client representatives will have a dedicated focus on execution planning. The E/I CS will coordinate and direct the day-to-day planned activities and work scope assignments to the Electrical Leads and associated commissioning crews.

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of assigned commissioning crew(s).

• Perform quality BHP Field Leadership (FLEX) activities and Shermco PSR activities to meet internal and external KPI’s set out for the Electrical Supervisor position.
• Work with and assist Manager(s) and/or Project Manager(s) managing deliverables.
• Distribute work packages/scope assignments to Electrical Leads to carry out their work, reporting back to the Project Manager.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate required activities as per the scope and timeline of the project.
• Assist in planning project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Prepare for accordingly and attend internal and external meetings as required and/or requested.
• Maintain adequate participation in smart completions compliance, QA/QC and overall quality of project document control.
• Deliver mechanisms for tracking project progress and reporting to Manager(s) and/or Project Manager(s).
• Resolve site issues as relevant to assigned work crews and establish measures to improve productivity.
• Coordinate and facilitate site crew meetings and attend in a leadership capacity.
• Ensure all safety incidents and near misses are accurately documented in a timely manner (inside of 24 hours) communicate importance of this to Electrical Leads and work crew(s) and encourage safe work practices and behaviors.
• Ensure client satisfaction throughout all aspects of the assigned project, work to resolve concerns or issues of the customer.
• Foster positive and long-term relationships with clients.
• Work around energized power and control equipment.
• Determine appropriate selection of materials.
• Keep/maintain record of necessary scope information, reports and quality documentation.
• Perform all duties to a level of competency, normally expected of an E/I CS.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyperson Electrician Certificate
• Red Seal Instrumentation Technician Certificate or Technologist Diploma.
• Electrical Engineer, Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Electrical Engineering Technologist
• Previous experience in ‘Project Coordination’ based roles.
• Previous experience in commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Previous experience in ‘Potash Mine Projects’ considered an asset.
• Valid driver's license and clean abstract required.
